Hiking is
very popular in Victoria County, Cape Breton Island with a number of short hikes and long hikes on
trails in our provincial parks and the Cape Breton Highlands National
Park. Many of our trails are
featured in outdoor magazines and hiking books. Each are unique and offer
an experience for you to enjoy the outdoors.
Short hikes range from 1.5 km to 6 km and up to two hours. Longer hikes
range from 6 km to 18 km and up to 6 hours. Please click on hiking trails

The
5th Annual "Hike the Highlands Festival"
takes place September 12-21, 2008.
Ten days of
guided hikes and social activities. This festival is a Nova Scotia Tourism
Signature Event.
